Skanda Sashti Pooja Online: Take Part from Anywhere
Skanda Sashti falls once a year, and many devotees cannot be in Tamil Nadu that week. A sankalpa-based pooja lets the priests offer the rituals on your behalf, in your name and star.
A Skanda Sashti pooja online is a temple ritual offered to Lord Murugan in your name and nakshatra by priests, so you can take part without travelling. You book and share your details. poojas.in/ offers a samuhik pooja on 15 November 2026 for ₹2,350 per head, and a Milk Abhisheka at Tiruchendur.

How a Pooja in Your Name and Star Works
Every pooja begins with the sankalpam, a formal statement of who is offering the ritual, where and when. In a pooja performed on your behalf, the priest states your name and nakshatra in the sankalpam, and the abhisheka, homa and archana that follow are offered for you.
This tradition lets families abroad, devotees who are unwell and people with heavy schedules take part in the festival. You may also keep the six-day vratam at home alongside it.

Skanda Sashti Pooja Online: Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Skanda Sashti pooja online?
It is a pooja to Lord Murugan offered by priests in your name and nakshatra, booked online. You do not have to be present. The sankalpam names you, and the abhisheka, homa and archana are offered on your behalf on the festival day.
Is a pooja valid if I am not present?
In the sankalpa tradition, a priest can offer a pooja on behalf of a devotee who names them and states their star. Many families abroad take part this way. If you wish, you can also keep the vratam yourself at home.
Can I book for family members in different countries?
Yes. The Maha Skanda Sashti Pooja is booked per head at ₹2,350. Share each person’s name and nakshatra when you book, and each will be included in the sankalpam on 15 November 2026.
What do I need to share when booking?
Share the full name and nakshatra of each person. If you do not know your nakshatra, ask poojas.in/ on WhatsApp and it can be worked out from your date, time and place of birth.
What is the difference between the samuhik pooja and the Milk Abhisheka?
The samuhik pooja is a group offering of abhisheka, Shathru Samhara Homa and archana at the Ayyampettai Shiva Temple on 15 November. The Milk Abhisheka is a separate offering performed at Tiruchendur for Samhara Moorthy.
Can I do the Skanda Sashti pooja if I cannot visit a temple?
Yes. If you cannot reach a temple, a sankalpa-based pooja lets you take part in Soorasamharam. If you can visit a Murugan temple yourself that day, you may do both.
