Dhanteras falls on Friday, 6 November in 2026, opening the five day Diwali festival. These original Dhanteras quotes and wishes, in English and Hindi, are written to send on the day. Because Dhanteras honours Lord Dhanvantari, the deity of Ayurveda, as much as Goddess Lakshmi, the best wishes for this day mention health alongside wealth.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should a Dhanteras wish say?

Mention health as well as wealth. Dhanteras honours Lord Dhanvantari, the deity of Ayurveda, alongside Goddess Lakshmi, so a wish that includes good health is more fitting than one about prosperity alone.

When should Dhanteras wishes be sent in 2026?

On Friday, 6 November 2026, usually in the morning, or in the evening after the household puja during Pradosh Kaal.

Can Dhanteras and Diwali wishes be sent together?

Yes, and many people do since the two days are only two apart in 2026. A combined wish works well for colleagues and extended family you will not message again during the festival.

What is a short Dhanteras caption for social media?

Short works best alongside a photograph of the lamps or the rangoli. Lines like Lamps lit, house cleaned, Lakshmi welcome, or Health first, the rest follows, suit the day
